Leather collar, lead & dog bandanas

Service Description

So many of us have important four-legged friends in our family that we've decided to dedicate an entire day to them. Local leather worker Tracy will join us for the morning session where you will make your dog a leather collar & co-ordinating lead. We'll break for lunch (included) before you embark on your Block Printing. Prior to the day you will choose the size & leather colour for the collar: red, green or tan so Tracy can prepare it for you. You will learn how to add the hardware to the collar & add the buckle using a tool called a crew. You will learn how to cut, burn and cap off the end of the dog leash rope which you will stitch securely before adding the handle and the hardware (trigger/O-ring). The fun part is doing the ‘whipping’ with the paracord threads which you choose to compliment the set. Tracy will also bring brass embossing letters so leather elements can be personalised. Once finished you can sit back and enjoy a freshly made lunch (dietary requirements catered for, just let us know) and relax before the afternoon Block Printing session. You will be able to experiment block printing with our wide selection of blocks and colours to print your unique doggie bandanas. There'll be time to practise layout and colour combinations before printing your bandanas. Emma & Melinda will give you all the tips and tricks you need to get the best out of your printing.
