Sorry to Mention Christmas… But We Really Must!
Yes, we know it’s only October. Please forgive us.
We’re terribly sorry to bring this up. We know the pumpkins are barely carved, the autumn leaves are looking fab, and some of us are stubbornly refusing to put the heating on. Not me of course - that is Mr Baa Humbug Larkswold's job.
But… Christmas is coming.
There. We’ve said it.
Before you roll your eyes and mutter something about Christmas starting earlier every year, hear me out. At Larkswold, Christmas isn't about battling the crowds, wrestling with wrapping paper or wondering whether anyone actually likes Christmas pudding.
It's about slowing down, spending time with lovely people and making something beautiful with your own two hands. Preferably with a homemade cake and a glass of something delicious nearby.
And, rather inconveniently, some of our festive workshops are happening very soon!
This Sunday 10am-1pm: Christmas Glass Fused Decorations
If you've ever fancied making your own beautiful glass Christmas decorations, this is your moment.
Join us for a wonderfully creative session exploring the magic of glass fusing. You'll design your own festive decorations, choosing colours, shapes and sparkling details to create something truly special.
Also This Sunday 2pm-5pm: Christmas Block Printing
There's something rather satisfying about printing your own festive designs.
In our Christmas Block Printing workshop, you'll discover the joy of creating beautiful patterns and designs by hand.
It's creative, relaxing and wonderfully absorbing. And the best bit? Just bring yourself, a little festive enthusiasm and perhaps a friend who needs persuading that making things is considerably more enjoyable than Christmas shopping.
4th November 2pm-4.30 pm: Christmas Lino Printed Cards
Remember when Christmas cards were something we actually looked forward to receiving?
We're bringing a little of that magic back. Join us on 4th November to create your very own lino-printed Christmas cards.
You'll learn how to carve and print your designs, creating a collection of gorgeous handmade cards that your friends and family might actually keep. And imagine the smug satisfaction of saying, "Oh, I made those." Entirely justified smugness, of course.

Now, we appreciate that Christmas isn't everyone's excuse to be tasteful and understated.
Some of us would rather sparkle.
Enter Festive Glittery Glitter Kicks!
Our fabulous Glitter Kicks workshop is getting a festive makeover, giving you the opportunity to transform a pair of tired old boots into something gloriously glittery.
Perfect for Christmas parties, festive outings or simply adding a little sparkle to the supermarket shop. Because life is far too short for boring shoes.
A Little Christmas Magic in the Cotswolds
What makes Christmas at Larkswold special isn't just what you create.
It's the lovely few hours you spend away from the endless to-do lists, the chance to catch up with a friend, learn something new and enjoy being looked after.
There's always a warm welcome, plenty of encouragement and delicious homemade treats (have you tried our Autumnal ginger cake yet? Yum and Yum).
So, while we're sorry to mention Christmas quite so early, we're not remotely sorry about encouraging you to enjoy a little festive creativity.
