Pinky and her team from Remnant Revolution join us to demystify the sewing machine and get you sewing! Remnant Revolution transforms surplus and remnant fabrics into premium handcrafted homeware, creating flexible, fairly paid work for women while combining circular design, community skill-sharing and social impact to keep materials in use and empower women through fairly paid, meaningful employment. Through skilled workshops and creative partnerships, we give beautiful fabrics a new purpose and a new story to tell. Our team of seamstresses share their skills in our simple, relaxed sewing classes. In this 2 hour session you will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, from loading and filling a bobbin, to choosing simple stitches and adjusting the tension. You’ll then put your new skills into practice by making your own zip purse. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to build their confidence with a sewing machine. Unlock your creativity and sculpt a marvellous clay March hare with Robyn at Larkswold. This fun and tactile activity is perfect for anyone looking to get absorbed in a new art form. Robyn will guide you step by step so no one gets left behind, and it's a lot easier than you might think! We have tried and tested this workshop and love the way the hares emerge out of seemingly random shapes! All the materials you need are included, and your finished creation will be glazed and fired for you - which takes a little time due to drying and glazing, but we expect it to be approx a month (quicker in warmer weather & a bit slower in colder weather!) An intensive day, aimed at beginners, using locally-grown, natural willow. The day runs from 10am to 5pm, although it may finish earlier. Come and have fun making your own unique and useful basket with Clare from Warwickshire Willow. Learn how to make a round basket base using traditional ‘stake and strand’ techniques before adding uprights and weaving the sides of your basket using a 3-rod wale. To complete your basket, you will create a simple trac-border & add a willow handle. Or You can create an asymmetrical top edge to your basket - something really special! Either option is available and will be completed in the day. This is basketry 'Larkswold-style', which means copious amounts of daily-baked cake, freshly ground coffees, and a plethora of tea choices (and alternative milk options). We know you will work hard during the day, so lunch will be lovingly prepared and hopefully refresh you ready to finish your masterpiece in the afternoon. A fabulous opportunity to try your hand at silversmithing. You will learn multiple techniques such as ring sizing, sawing, filing, soldering, forming, shaping and polishing to create 2 stacking rings or a bangle. In this workshop you can make silver items that are round, so a bangle or rings to wear on your fingers or on a chain as a pendant. Spinner Rings can only be made in the separate Spinner Ring workshop as the processes involved take more time. By the end of this workshop you will have at least one finished piece of jewellery to wear & enjoy. Additional silver can be purchased on the day if you desire chunkier pieces. As with all Larkswold workshops all your hot or cold drinks are included, as are our homemade cakes - we wouldn't want you to go hungry! Join Hannah at our lovely Larkswold studio to create something magical with a little bit of alchemy, science, art and lots of fun! A perfect gift for you, family or friend. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basic principles of cyanotype fabric printing. This workshop will teach you to apply the cyanotype solution to a variety of fabric samples, including cotton, denim, and calico, so you can understand the different results you can achieve.T hese samples can be taken home and framed. You will also have the opportunity to create your own cyanotype tote bag after experimenting with the fabric samples. All the materials are provided for you. You are more than welcome to bring objects no larger than A5/A6 to cyanotype, including botanicals, fabrics such as crochet, netting etc. Cyanotype loves interesting shapes and/or transparent objects, so keep this in mind. I will provide botanicals for you to cyanotype with so you can just bring yourself and your enthusiasm. Please wear clothes you are happy to get messy in, as the chemicals can stain As with all our workshops, you'll enjoy our homemade cakes and bottomless teas, coffees, or cold drinks - a glass of bubbly will be served towards the end of the session to complete your experience with us. 2026 Dates: Friday 16th October 10-1pm

Learn how to make a super warm and cosy blanket from jumbo wool at our Arm Knitting Workshops. Using your arms rather than needles we will show you how to gently felt the wool prior to knitting, and how to knit with your arms! We've chosen 100% natural wools for the ultimate in jumbo knitting. This is the simplest and most satisfying form of giant knitting (also known as extreme knitting) you will get. With the scrummiest super sized yarn and just a few hours you will go home proud as punch with your blanket! Underwater Worlds – Delve into cool summer seas and learn to create dynamic watercolour artwork inspired by travel, from sea glass and shells, to underwater scenes packed with seaweed, coral, and fish! In this full day workshop you'll learn how to use organic watercolour shapes to form decorative sea-themed and underwater designs in a colour palette of your choice. You'll learn various watercolour techniques and decorative ideas to help you create your very own, unique piece that combines watercolour, ink details, and accents of metallics. You can use inspiration from your own imagination as well Kate’s own portfolio of designs and patterns. Kate Rebecca Leach is an artist and illustrator based in Hertfordshire. Her original artwork and high-quality Giclée prints feature creative watercolour techniques and embellished metallic details. Kate founded her business, Essoldo Design, in August 2020 and has sold pieces to over 30 countries across the globe and has successfully licensed her work in the UK, Europe and the USA. Her first book Creative Abstract Watercolour was published in Spring 2024, and her 2nd publication, Creative Abstract Mixed Media followed in Autumn 2025. All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. This class is suitable for total beginners through to experienced artists.
