Introduction to bookbinding
Service Description
Join Kate from CalamityKatieDesigns for a taster session for the complete beginner to bookbinding. We will start by making a small book with materials found in the recycling bin and move onto your first simple hand stitched notebook. These can be given as gifts to loved ones or you can use them (as I do) for sketchbooks or list keeping. It's a fabulous way to use up your card recycling and you will also have a choice of beautiful quality papers for the covers of your hand stitched book. You will leave with at least 3 handmade books. Don't forget you will need to squeeze in slices of all our delicious cakes plus coffee from our wonderful bean to cup coffee machine and maybe a little glass of bubbly before you leave us for the day. Workshop dates: 10am-1pm Sunday 13th April 10am-1pm Sunday 13th July
