Service Description
Join us for a knitting workshop to refresh your knitting skills or learn some of the basics. Come away with an enhanced skill you can use at home for life. Perfect for creating beautiful knits and gifts. Hosted by MODE at Rowan, this is Rowan’s new sub-brand, focussing on essential hand knitwear, that is timeless and crafted with ease. Designed in a sumptuous range of natural fibre yarns, and inspiring, curated colour palette. The yarns are super soft and colours are carefully chosen to give you plenty of choice. Under the tuition of expert knitters and MODE at Rowan designers Emma and Georgina Brant you will learn all the basics of knitting and some specific stitching techniques. During the course you will start to knit the beautiful Holkham Hat by MODE at Rowan, using the pattern, yarns and Rowan Knitting Needles provided in your kit, all packaged in an exclusive MODE Project bag for crafting on the move. Ask an Expert There will be plenty of guidance and advice from our experts Emma & Georgina on the day, to get you underway or to help you with any knitty questions. You will take home the yarn and materials needed to knit the matching scarf using the techniques you have learned on the day. The Holkham hat is a great one ball project for a beginner or someone who just wants to cast on and knit with ease. With a ribbed hem, garter stitch body and stocking stitch shaping, the project is a great introduction to all the basic techniques. Both the hat and scarf are knitted in MODE’s Merino Soft Wool (100% Merino Wool) in your choice of colour. Everything required to complete the hat and scarf will be provided including; - 6mm | 4 UK | 10 US Rowan Knitting Needles - Merino soft yarn x 2 balls in your choice of colour - Holkham Hat and Scarf pattern - MODE Project bag The day runs from 10-4pm & includes lunch, all your refreshments and of course there'll be cake!
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION If you cancel the booking, we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges as follows: Ten (10) days or more before the date of the Workshop, Larkswold will work with you to move the booking to an alternative date or workshop (subject to any additional charges that may apply resulting from the alternative date or workshop chosen). Suppose an alternative date or workshop cannot be agreed upon at the time of cancellation. In that case, Larkswold will issue you with a credit to the value of the Workshop (“Workshop Credit”), which you can use towards the cost of an alternative workshop of your choice (subject to availability) and which shall be valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue. If you fail to rebook an alternative workshop within this period, all rights are forfeited; To cancel, you just need to let us know.
