Chilly but cheerful

It is freeeeeeezing. I do not like the cold. Yes it's nice to look at the frosty garden, yes I like putting my fire on and drinking hot chocolate, but NO - I do not want to go out in that evil temperature.

Exciting news from the studio is that we have one of those fancy digitally controlled hot water taps fitted by the lovely Larkswold husbands. I bought it last year and we have finally got round to installing it. Next on the list is one for the toilet plus a new door which should hopefully be in place before the year is out!

Other exciting news is that I finally got round to digging up my dahlias before the cold really hit and doing the whole wash them off and store in woodchip malarkey.

Fun stuff this week - we popped over to see our good friend Tracy at Cotswold Hipster. I am in love with her dog Oscar who is a wonderfully boisterous German Short Haired Pointer, so we had a good play with him and then discussed some exciting new leather workshops for this year to include belts, wallets and cool things for the oh so stylish desk.

We have also been chatting further with the wonderful Kelly who looks after the Maker Shack at the Cheltenham Science Festival in June. We presented what we want to be doing and are excited to be running an additional craft workshop where visitors can spend a little more time with us creating wonderful things.

I must get round to contacting The Malvern show peeps as we really loved being there last year and we quite fancy wangling an invite to some of the other posh gardening events - if you know anyone in the know - let us know.

Ducks, chickens and dogs are all good. Oti (Emma's voluptuous pup dog) has mysteriously hurt her leg so is limping a bit. Thank goodness I say - it means that I might get out of Canicrossing (running with the dogs) until she is better - not a bad thing in this chuffing cold weather.

Tech update. We are continually trying to make our website simpler to use and have just released some changes to the diary layout to hopefully make it easier to view upcoming dates. The website is very important to us, but is also an ongoing headache - if you spot anything that doesn't work please do let us know! Thank you lovely peeps!

Check out the new calendar layout here.

Need a little Larkswold inspiration? In the words of Anne of Green Gables "Oh, Marilla, looking forward to things is half the pleasure of them" We are running a few things next week which still have some spaces:

Scented Candle Making: Friday 19th @ 2pm

Brush Lettering: Sunday 21st @ 2pm

Glass Fusing: Sunday 21st @ 2pm

The rest of the weekend is full with works parties and Hen do's so we are looking forward to a weekend of fun and frolics.

Keeping with my Anne quotations we like to bring some joy to your Friday "Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it" So what brings you joy in our blog?
