Bookbinding: Japanese Yotsume Toji

Friday 24th July 10am-1pm, £65

This Friday morning at Larkswold, we're stepping back in time to explore the beautiful Japanese craft of Yotsume Toji – the traditional four-hole bookbinding technique that has been used in Japan for centuries to bind poetry, journals and manuscripts.

Elegant in its simplicity, Yotsume Toji celebrates patience, precision and craftsmanship. Using beautiful papers, traditional stitching techniques and quality materials, you'll create your own hand-bound notebook that's as practical as it is beautiful.

As always, your morning at Larkswold is about much more than learning a new skill. You'll be welcomed into our studio with homemade cake, unlimited tea and coffee, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of friendly guidance.

Whether you're an experienced maker or simply curious to try something new, you'll leave with a unique handmade journal, and probably inspiration for your next crafty visit to Larkswold!
