Wow, another week flew by! We had our first Larkswold Business Networking Event this morning and have our first Brush Lettering Workshop this afternoon.
I think Networking was a success? Tash from Culpepper was awesome and was happily swapping details with eager guests wanting to work with her. Emma from The Yoga Tree talked to us about the idea of a Menopause workshop which we really like the sound of (we are of course women of a certain age) and both Emma and I both want to be as cool as Viviene from Redgrave & Lake with platform DMs and loads of great stories.
In our excitement about today Emma and I baked far too much cake, but the guests did their best to make a dent in the selection and we have already had thankyou messages for a relaxing and useful session. Emma took a little break from catering to eat a scone, but was eventually very brave and ventured out to chat to people. If you missed this one, the next one is on Friday 1st April (no joke) and we hope to be talking about "Imposter Syndrome" (This happens to both men and women so everyone is welcome, whatever your gender).
Mothers Day
It's about now that you start thinking.... What shall I get Mum for Mother's Day? Or possibly... I wonder if I will see my children over Mothering Sunday? Or what can I do to remember my Mum? Do not fear, we have the solution for you. Why not book onto our Mothers Day session of loveliness to either make a Spring Wreath (Emma has now fully developed them so you can simply put them put them on the compost when they come to the end of their life - they are 100% biodegradable) or learn how to make scented candles, with the added treat of a yummy cream tea. Book in and rest assured we will do everything to shower loveliness on you or your Mum. Why not push the boat out and come together?
Willow
Last call for spaces on next weekends Willow Sculpture workshop. Come make the stunning Stags head, hare, heron or chickens you will have seen on our social media. You'll break for a little light lunch (ha ha! Its never very light) and cake to write home about. I shouldn't have to say it, but bring/send your men. Someone said the other day, do we let men do willow? and yes we jolly well do. In fact we have seen quite a few come and make various impressive pieces.
Craft Club
Come along to the new informal Larkswold Craft Club to meet fellow crafters & get inspired. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month 7 - 9.30pm. Our first get together will be Wednesday April 6th.
Enjoy a cup of coffee or Yorkshire tea (or go all healthy with fruit teas) grab a slice of cake and take your place - it's just £8 for a wee slice of crafting loveliness.
Whether you like to knit, sew, crochet, make jewellery, embroider, felt, or something else you are equally welcome as we will all be working on our own projects. We have large tables plus some comfy sofas and chairs, so you can take your pick!
This is a relaxed club, a chance to meet people with similar interests and to swap skills and share what we love doing. All we ask is that you book your place on the website as parking is limited (although in drier months we can park in the field so we can be much more flexible)
Ok, enjoy your weekend and hopefully see you soon!
