Determined little mouse

Our little Christmas mouse, Snowy, has continued to hang out in the studio, gaining love and adoration from all who set eyes on him. But he does need to accept that it is March next week, and that means the studio is all about the March Hare (sorry Snowy).

We really do love hares in the Larkswold studio and we have cool selection of hare focused workshops if you do to.

Ceramic March Hare: A March session has actually already sold out, so the next 3hr one with some spaces is in the diary for Friday 19th April.

Or perhaps Lofty the needle felted hare is more your craft? He is a cute little thing needing 3 hours of your time (which leaves time for you to snuffle up some cake crumbs) on Saturday, 16th March. Needlefelt is so incredibly on trend right now you are hard-pushed not to find something from this wonderful craft you want to make.

Are you interested in spending a full day at Larkswold? Our popular willow-sculpted Hare has been an attraction since the beginning. Kate Morell, our willow sculptor who has been with us since the start, has decided to hand over the reins to Clare Shivlock. Clare Shivlock runs Warwickshire Willow and has conducted many willow basket weaving workshops for us in recent years. This week, we had the pleasure of meeting Clare's father, Tony, who came for a visit to the Cotswolds and had a slice of Larkswold cake. Although March is fully booked, spaces are available on the next date: Sunday May 26th.

We would love to get a little montage of the block printed, woven, painted Hare's etc you create at Larkswold for a little March Hare Tribute. If you have time to email or share and tag us on socials we would love to get your support.

Yes, I do know this blog has been way too normal up until this point; Emma thought I should share how professional we are when carrying out Google Meet calls with tutors, suppliers and other Larkswold contacts. I made the mistake of introducing Emma to the 'Visual effects'' button. Hence, I am a tree trunk, and Emma was a pirate whilst having a very serious call with Zoe @scampandude events!

So, I'm leaving you on a slightly less weird note. Craft Club this week saw some very talented ladies making lace. OMG, this is PROPER crafting brain fry, in my view - but completely utterly fantastic at the same time.

I am also very excited to try Ann-Marie's idea of printing embroidery images onto material using her standard HP printer.

Ok - that's your lot. If you aren't already aware of the Craft Festival in Cheltenham, you really should check it out. Emma and I are popping over to check it out on Sunday 10th March - Mothers Day don't you know! - because our long-suffering husbands have booked a trip to Cardiff to watch the Rugby that day!!! Maybe the next husband will be more considerate :-)

Enjoy x
