Yeah! It’s Autumn Wreath time again. Made using dried grasses and flowers these little late summer gems have been a real favourite with Larkswold guests. Part of the attraction is that they can last indefintiely if hung indoors. Natural colours fade, but the beauty of wreath continues to really work.
What else? Well Emma went to Canada and had an amazing holiday sightseeing, cycling and jumping in lagoons, visiting art galleries and seeing family. I popped over to Cornwall for a little coasteering, BMX biking and body boarding.
We also spent two weeks at Winchcombe steam railway thanks to the lovely Catherine Johnson who invited us to take part in 'Wild at Winchcombe' which was a roaring success.
Flock Update:
Mr (or it could be Mrs) Fox is back. Ducks have formulated an impressive (at last) strategy of jumping in the river, and the chickens hide in the long field grass or up in trees. It’s tough, because I love foxes, and I can see how I have created an excellent self-service chicken dinner or duck pancake!
You guys have definitely shown that basket weaving is a winner, with our new workshop in October having only 1 place left. Emma has said I am not allowed to offer up anymore 'messy' workshops, but we have also had a good few soap and bathbomb making sessions as well.
Planning a family or friends get together baby shower, hen do, or special birthday celebration and can't find what you want on our website? Give Emma a call on 0800 999 1914 and we can get you sorted.
Finally - just a thankyou to you all for making us feel our hard work is paying off. So many guests write a kind review on Google, email or send a thankyou card in the post. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming environment - yes due to middle age women issues we often forget pretty much everything such as offering tea or coffee - chocolate brownies or the coffee cake we’ve only just baked, but it matters that you feel well looked after and part of the Larkswold family.
"Thank you for giving my wife and me a very enjoyable afternoon yesterday. Caroline's course was excellent and she had a helpfully direct way of getting us through stuff that other teachers might have struggled with. You have chosen a magical spot in which to base yourselves, but you filled it with kindness and jolly chat. And great cakes. I don't think we could have found a more unexpectedly fun way to celebrate her 60th: I am very grateful"
On that note, enjoy your weekend and see you soon.
