Want to Host the Perfect Team Event?

Hey you! Yes, you, the one with the creative spark and the desire to bring your team together in a meaningful way. If you're looking for a surefire approach to boost morale, enhance collaboration, and foster genuine connections within your team, then look no further. A team crafting event might just be the innovative solution to elevate the well-being and creativity within your workplace.

I know—I sound like a proper marketing aficionado about to wax lyrical about how cool Larkswold is for team events—and heck, we really are. On Sunday, we went over to Cotswold Lakes Brew Co to provide the "fun" element to Cotswold Water Park Retreats and yep, we definitely did bring the fun.

So Emma was on block printing - this table somehow turned into the under 12's section (I know it was probably Emma's childish behaviour drawing them in) and I was on candle making. We catered for about 30 employees and their families who were all so lovely and welcoming to us.

We arrived & unloaded in a biblical downpour and having unloaded everything ( it felt like we even included the kitchen sink) we discovered that we'd managed to forget the scales to weigh the wax, but were saved by the super staff at venue - we also then navigated around one of two guests who had fully embraced the free bar part of the gathering. Candle making brought men and women, children and grandparents together to try their hand at new and exotic candle fragrances and spectacular candle colours.

If you want to come and try out some Larkswold crafts for your team event we offer a free discovery session. Just book your complimentary spot and we will look after the rest.

Crafting Connections Through Creativity

As many of you know, who have been in the studio recently or have been kind enough to pick us for your team events, craft activities are fast growing as the number 1 thing to offer at your team gathering. Imagine this: a cosy setting, a table filled with colourful dried flowers or twinkling mosaic tiles, and your team members gathered around, laughing, chatting, and delving into the world of creativity. Crafting isn't just about making pretty things; it's about shared experiences, about getting to know your co-workers beyond the confines of the office.

Planning the Perfect Team Crafting Event

So if you are sold on the idea of hosting a team crafting event, it's time to roll up your sleeves and start planning. Here are a few tips to ensure your event is a roaring success:

  • Choose the Right Venue : Opt for a cozy, well-lit space that can accommodate your team comfortably. The Larkswold studio fits up to 20, but if you have a bigger team we regularly set up in staff canteens, hotels and village halls.
  • Crafting Activities : Tailor the crafting activities to suit the interests and skill levels of your team members. We find that most people love to make wax melts or candles, block print a tote bag or roll up their sleeves and create something from clay.
  • Refreshments: Keep your team fueled and energised. If you are at our place then you are sorted - yummy cake, freshly brewed coffee to your hearts content. If you are organising somewhere else just consider something to add a little sparkle to proceedings.
  • Music and Ambiance : Set the mood with some upbeat tunes or soothing melodies, depending on the vibe you want to create. A carefully curated playlist - feel free to nab the Larkswold playlist from spotify; can enhance the crafting experience and create a relaxed atmosphere.

My Body is Temple!

My body has spent about 50% being a temple this week. I am following a Mediterranean diet which is absolutely delicous but you still have to actually make the food which means it's never as fast as scoffing a little flapjack in the studio!! But I am trying my best and doing more than drinking Lattes at the gym when I go.

Ducks are definitely living their best lives now the rainy season is back. It takes them a good day to remember that they are able to swim and then they can't get enough of it. Luckily puppy Kanga hasn't yet decided she wants to be a water dog and that's also fine with me and the ducks!

You guys continue to find time to meet up with friends in the studio, and bookings for late November and December have been very steady. We have another busy Brush Party tonight and the first stained glass two-day workshop this weekend with Roland.

It is Networking next Thursday, which has become the perfect way for female business owners to get out of doing tedious work for a couple of hours. Fi Burge is joining us to talk about product based businesses this month

Penny's Paper Collage session which is new has also started filling up - which is mildly annoying as I was hoping to use up a space myself!

I think thats all from me this week. See you in October!
