We’re also thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Rowan Wool’s latest brand, Mode. Mode offers the coolest alpaca and merino wools, along with stunning designs perfect for beginners and intermediates looking to create hats, mittens, and scarves.

We will be hosting two new workshops that cater to both beginners and more experienced knitters who want to learn about finishing techniques and sizing.

If none of those options appeal to you, how about making an actual bag? Our talented leather tutor, Tracy, will be hosting a no-stitch leather clutch bag workshop in the new year. Emma and I have already tried it out, and you can see our creations displayed in the studio. You might have even seen me wearing mine at a recent wedding, where I definitely got the party started on the dance floor!!

The recent flurry of snow has everyone feeling more festive! Today and throughout the weekend, we will be serving our first mince pies. We are also kicking off our Christmas activities, which include block printing, bauble calligraphy, and Christmas platter painting, and something others I can't think of right now. It's going to be a busy weekend in the studio! 😊

We are still getting bookings for family and works Christmas shindigs which is exciting as some are offsite in lovely locations like Sudeley castle and others are in our studio bringing together all the families generations to make gingerbread wreaths or Christmas stained glass decoration to mention a few.

If you are new to the Larkswold weekly blog, let me introduce myself. I am Melinda, and I run Larkswold with Emma. The Friday blog is my flow of conscious thoughts that sometimes happen weekly (but can sometimes happen monthly if I forget). I usually factor in an update on the ducks and chickens, probably something about cool things we have been doing, and really should mention new workshops or spaces we have left at the last minute.

It has been quite busy lately! Last week, we spent time at the Cotswolds Christmas Fair running workshops, which was really enjoyable. We also caught up with the Winchcombe Railway about our Easter activities for next year. Additionally, we are organising three special workshops to run at the Chipping Norton Theatre. On top of that, I realised that we need to prepare around 50 Christmas wreaths by December 1st. With all of this, I seem to have fallen behind on a few other tasks!
