This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basic principles of cyanotype printing, to explore this simple, fun and effective printing method! Cyanotypes use light-sensitive iron salts to create distinctive blue toned images, a process made famous by Anna Atkins in 1843. The workshop will teach you how to mix, apply, and print your own cyanotypes, while exploring composition and technique. We aim for you to produce 5 A5/A6 cyanotype prints that you can frame, gift or keep, a perfect seasonal present for you or for someone special. If it's sunny we can use that to our advantage, but it's no problem if not as Hannah has multiple UV lightboxes to expose your pieces. All the materials are provided - just bring yourself and your enthusiasm.
