Escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in the calming art of slow stitching in this relaxing half-day workshop. Perfect for complete beginners and those with some stitching experience, this creative session is an opportunity to explore beautiful embroidery techniques using threads, sequins and beads to create your own personalised embroidered hoop initial. Guided by textile artist Kerry, you'll learn how to transfer a design onto fabric before discovering a selection of decorative embroidery stitches and embellishment techniques. You’ll then begin stitching your own unique design, creating a beautiful piece of textile art to take home. Set in tranquil surroundings, this workshop offers the chance to slow down, switch off from everyday life, and enjoy the mindful, therapeutic process of hand-stitching. All materials are included, and you'll leave with your finished embroidery hoop along with the skills and inspiration to continue your stitching journey. Additional embroidery kits will also be available to purchase on the day, perfect for creating more at home or giving as thoughtful handmade gifts.
