Make a leather collar & lead

Service Description

So many of us have important four-legged friends in our family that we've decided to dedicate a workshop to them! Local leather worker Tracy will join us for a 4 hour session where you will make a leather dog collar & co-ordinating lead. Prior to the day you will choose the size & leather colour for the collar: red, olive green or tan so Tracy can prepare it for you. You will learn how to add the hardware to the collar & add the buckle using a tool called a crew. You will learn how to cut, burn and cap off the end of the dog leash rope which you will stitch securely before adding the handle and the hardware (trigger/O-ring). The fun part is doing the ‘whipping’ with the paracord threads which you choose on the day to compliment the set. Tracy will also bring brass embossing letters so leather elements can be personalised. Just in time for Christmas this could be the perfect present for your pooch.
