Service Description

Gather together in the magical Larkswold creative space and weave your own hand broom in this intimate 2.5 hour workshop! Guests will choose their broom shape, fibre colour and style and then tie it all up with the twine colour of your choice. You will leave with a beautiful broom that actually cleans. You will learn the fundamentals of heritage handcrafted brooms (a pre-industrial heritage craft that uses no machinery and no electricity), as well as the processing and handling of fibre, various twine types, plus some broom history and lore. These pretty brooms are perfect for smaller spaces: potting sheds, artist studios, kitchen counters, camper vans, hearths, and book shelves - keep any small space tidy and looking lush! Please note: broom making is a surprisingly physical craft and each broom is constructed in one sitting with one continuous length of twine. Students should be prepared to work with shoes off (socks are fine) and seated in a chair for up to an hour, possibly more (feel free to bring a cushion).. Broom craft requires strength and dexterity in both hands and feet. Be prepared to engage your core, hands, arms, legs and back for extended periods. Broom making can be a real work-out! Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION If you cancel the booking, we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges as follows: Ten (10) days or more before the date of the Workshop, Larkswold will work with you to move the booking to an alternative date or workshop (subject to any additional charges that may apply resulting from the alternative date or workshop chosen). Suppose an alternative date or workshop cannot be agreed upon at the time of cancellation. In that case, Larkswold will issue you with a credit to the value of the Workshop (“Workshop Credit”), which you can use towards the cost of an alternative workshop of your choice (subject to availability) and which shall be valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue. If you fail to rebook an alternative workshop within this period, all rights are forfeited; To cancel, you just need to let us know.
