Join us in the Larkswold studio for a calming, hands-on experience to create your own floral plaster cast using fresh flowers & foliage. Perfect for all skill levels, this hands-on workshop provides a mindful escape and a beautiful, one-of-a-kind artwork to take home. Run by the serenely calm and knowledgeable Annabel from Honeybourne Pottery, the workshop begins with a relaxed, step-by-step demonstration, where you’ll learn how to prepare and roll out clay to form the base for your artwork. Next, you’ll be guided on arranging flowers and foliage on the clay’s surface, pressing them in to best capture all their delicate textures and details. Feel free to bring cuttings from your own garden for a personal touch. Alternatively, you are welcome to forage in the Larkswold garden and field to collect items to use. Once your botanical design is complete, you’ll create a mould, then mix and pour plaster over your clay impression. While the plaster sets (about 30 minutes), we’ll pause for some more refreshments, accompanied by a slice of homemade cake. Then you’ll be guided through how to finish your piece. Lastly comes the exciting part of peeling away the clay to reveal your beautiful floral cast - pure magic! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or trying something new - this calming workshop offers a mindful escape and the joy of taking home a unique botanical artwork.
